Haughmond Hill, Shropshire

Protected and maintained by the Forestry Commission. This is a beautiful location which actually has four different walking trails! You can choose to do the flat steady routes (both of which are accessible to buggies and scooters) or the rockier trails! There are toilets, car park (chargeable) and dog waste bins available too.

I really love that the dogs can be off lead and can enjoy meeting lots of other dogs along the way. There are a variety of different routes that you can take depending on walking ability. This is great as it caters to everyone! Plus there are lots of little areas for the dogs to stop at. They can splash in puddles and there is a pond like place for them to have a cheeky swim. My dogs absolutely LOVE this! When you reach the top of the hill the view overlooking Shrewsbury and Telford is beautiful! There are some stones that you can sit on to take your time to admire the sights.  We generally spend a couple of hours at a time walking around the different routes, helpfully there are signposts showing different trails and you can work your way through them all!
