Frozen Dog Food
Frozen dog food and raw food diets are becoming more and more popular with dog owners as it’s such a natural way to feed your pet. We’ve carefully selected two brands who offer healthy and nutritionally beneficial raw and frozen dog food and we’ve loved seeing the amazing results from some of our four-legged customers who have benefited since they switched to frozen food.
ROR only use prime cuts of muscle meat and organs which means none of their frozen food contains any bone.
Natures Menu offer a huge selection of frozen nuggets, chews and blocks of lots of different types of minced meat.
You can simply pour the nuggets into your dog’s bowl to defrost for a short while or use the frozen foods to make your own dog food. With grain and gluten free options available, even the most sensitive tummies are catered for.
Is a raw diet better for my dog?
Many owners have reported a whole range of benefits after switching their dogs to a raw diet. The common concern is feeding raw meat to your dog will pass harmful bacteria, but you have to remember that cats and dogs have a much stronger stomach acid level (PH 1-2 compared to PH3-4 in humans!), don’t forget, cat and dog bodies are designed to thrive on raw meat.
Aren't bones dangerous for my dog?
Cooked bones definitely are, they become brittle and cannot just be uncomfortable to digest but could result in your dog needing veterinary care.
Raw bones are very rich in moisture and can be very healthy for your dog when given to them a few times a week and once they’re used to a raw diet. Not only do they contain lots of nutrition and omega 3 fats, they can help give your dog a beautifully glossy and healthy coat as well as helping build healthy joints, producing firmer stools and doubling up as a great toothbrush!
